The Night Staff Collage

Second City Celebrates 65 Years with Art!

THE SECOND CITY presents THE NIGHT STAFF COLLAGE: 65 Years in the Making.

Since its founding in 1959, The Second City has employed hundreds of servers, hosts, bartenders, dishwashers, box office workers and managers, collectively known as The Night Staff.

Photographer Robert Erving Potter III, along with several other night staffers, chronicled those employees over decades as they worked, played and laughed together seven nights a week. Searching the surrounding images, you should be able to spy younger versions of director/actor Jon Favreau, actors Ian Gomez, Todd Stashwick, Lance Barber and Stephen Colbert from back in the days when they were first welcomed into Showbiz.

ROBERT ERVING POTTER III, REP3, the photographer, has graciously provided the images exclusively for this project under a limited usage rights agreement.
