August 2020 found Chicago, and the rest of the country, in the middle of the COVID lockdown. However, even strict federal and state social distancing mandates couldn't keep the loyal fans of Terrapin Flyer at home.

Hosted in the parking lot of the Adler Planetarium, concert goers were able to adhere to the covid guidelines at this drive-in style concert while watching the show from their cars. Those with convertibles had a distinct advantage. Of course, I was on stage photographing the band.

Everyone enjoyed the music and the camaraderie and shooting this event the most fun I had during the entire covid lockdown.

Terrapin Flyer was founded in Chicago in 1999 and has become one of the top Grateful Dead inspired touring acts in the nation. Make certain to follow the link to the TF website for upcoming concert dates.
